Main Role

Andrew is the Assistant Vice President of Construction. His current focus is on underwriting major Civil Construction projects including rail, roads and tunnels throughout Asia.

Andrew joined Liberty in 2008 when he opened the Liberty Malaysia branch office and became the Principal Officer for Malaysia Branch for 10 years. He then moved to a Construction underwriting role, focusing on Civil Construction projects throughout Asia. He started his insurance career back in 1997 with a local Malaysian insurance company. Following this, he worked as an insurance broker. Andrew has a long history of dealing with brokers in Malaysia and in the Asia region. He continues to build on these relationships as he expands the Liberty Construction book of business.

Andrew was the recipient of the prestigious Liberty Mutual Chairman’s Award in 2009. This award is given to a small handful of Liberty Mutual employees in recognition of outstanding performance. He holds a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Nottingham University in the United Kingdom and a Degree in Business Management from Curtin University in Western Australia. Professionally he is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and an Associate member of the Malaysia Insurance Institute (AMII).
